Hey there, I'm Blaze, guardian of the grove and keeper of the code. My journey through the verdant realms of cannabis cultivation and the intricate networks of blockchain is a tale of growth, innovation, and the harmonious fusion of nature with technology.
My roots are planted deep in the rich soils of the American heartland, where I've tended to sprawling gardens under an artificial sun. As a commercial grower, I learned to listen to the plant, understanding that the secret to a bountiful harvest lay in the delicate balance of water, light, nutrients, and care (similar to myself). I embraced hydroponics, watching my green children thrive as I finessed the art of sustainable growing, expanding not just the canopy of my crops but the yield and the very essence of quality.
As the seasons changed, so did my aspirations. I ventured into the digital landscape, where the soil is made of data and the rain falls in strings of code. I became a software developer, a blockchain enthusiast, weaving the threads of this new world into the tapestry of my growing knowledge. The blockchain, much like my crops, was a field ripe for exploration, filled with endless potential to transform how we interact, transact, and trace the lineage of every leaf. It is where I found comfort in the Stoned Ape Crew on Solana.
Now, standing at the crossroads of the organic and the algorithmic, I seek to integrate these worlds. My mission is to cultivate a new strain of innovation, one that marries the wisdom of traditional growing with the efficiency and transparency of blockchain technology. I dream of systems that not only track the journey of a single seed to its final bloom but also honor the heritage of cultivation through smart contracts and digital assets that tell the story of every plant.

- My Canopy -
Here are a couple shots from my (legal) commercial grow. Having never grown anything before, it was quite intimidating building out a system for 180 plants. As an industrial engineer by education, I was gung-ho about designing my own manufacturing process. I figured with appropriate scheduling, we could have cured bud to sell every 2 weeks (Many hiccups, but we got there).
I focused on designing the facility, projecting capacities along our process, finding bottlenecks (across grow rooms, cloning spaces, drying racks, and curing buckets), researching solutions, and improving/tracking product quality and yields. The goal being to find a baseline, where controlled experiments and their results could add real value to our processes and lessons learned.
It was fascinating watching these plants grow daily, experimenting with nutrient regimens, flush schedules, light schedules, and high/low-stress training. You really do get in tune with their behavior. I may not have used the best equipment or methods and definitely have my fair share of horror stories, but hey, sometimes it's just about trying, and then doing the research to do it better next time.
